Gunmen burnt down the Police Divisional Headquarters in Umuchu, in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.

It was learnt that the gunmen stormed the facility at about 3am yesterday and set the facility ablaze which was renovated by members of Umuchu Improvement Union after it was destroyed by some angry youth during the #EndSARS protest in 2020.

Confirming the attack, the police spokesperson in the state, Tochukwu Ikenga,

said the facility was still being renovated when it was attacked by the hoodlums, adding that the situation is under control and have begun an investigation into the incident.
