Kalu, while stating his observations during the review of the proposed budget by the National Assembly, decried the country’s deteriorating economy, stressing that the cost of governance should be channeled into the manufacturing sector and the productivity sector.

The former governor of Abia state, who now represents Abia North District, lamented that the country has been forced to borrow to address the ravaging insecurity and worsening economic crisis, hence the need for the government to show commitment towards solving the country’s economic problem.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari last Friday presented the proposed budget totaling N20.5 trillion, to the National assembly.
