Swedish pop group named, Abba, have complained after their hit songs including, the Winner Takes it All and Dancing Queen, were played at one of the presidential campaign rallies of the United States Republican candidate, Donald Trump.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Abba’s record label, Universal Music, noting that after discovering videos in which Abba’s music was used at Trump events, they, along with the members of Abba, have requested that the music be immediately removed and taken down.

The record label affirmed that no permission or license had been granted to Trump’s campaign.

Abba are the latest in a long list of artists, including Celine Dion, Foo fighters and late soul singer, Isaac Hayes who have objected to Trump using their music to promote his presidential campaign.

In the United States, campaigns are required to obtain a Political Entities Licence from music rights body BMI, which gives them access to more than 20 million tracks to use in their rallies.
