11 Senators Call For The Release Of Nnamdi Kanu

The South East Caucus in the Senate has called on the Federal Government to obey the ruling of the Appeal Court and discharge the leader of the Proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

The caucus, comprising eleven Senators, in a statement issued yesterday in Abuja, asked President Muhammadu Buhari to keep the promise he earlier made to the Igbos and release Kanu.

The eleven senators who signed the statement included Chukwuka Utazi Minority Whip, Orji Uzor Kalu Majority Whip, Enyinnaya Abaribe, Uche Ekwunife, Sam Egwu, Stella Oduah, Obinna Ogba, T.A Orji.

Others were: Chimaroke Nnamani, Onyewuchi Ezenwa, Micheal Nnachi, Rochas Okorocha, Frank Ibezim, and Patrick Ifeanyi Uba.
