Prof. Aloysius Okolie has reiterated the commitment of the present management of ESUT

The Vice Chancellor of Enugu State University of Science and Technology. ESUT, Prof. Aloysius Okolie has reiterated the commitment of the present management of ESUT to transforming the University and returning it once more on the global intellectual map.

Prof. Okolie who made this known during a press briefing at the University Auditorium stated that the hallmark of the vision and mission of the current management under his watch is to strengthen the capacity of the Ivory Tower in all sphere so as to make the institution innovative and very competitive to the point of making a reference in the global intellectual community.

He revealed that part of the rebranding and repositioning process include the activation and strengthening of the capacity of quality assurance and Servicom unit, activation of relevant university committees for effective service delivery and prompt response to violation of extant university regulations,  digitalization of students’ records with a view to fast-tracking the processing of manuscripts and elimination of corrupt practices associated with the process, Provision of basic utilities facilities on the campus and imbuing professionalism, passion, ownership and competitive mindset amongst the leadership at various levels of the university.

Outlining some his achievement since the assumption of office, the Vice Chancellor said that the management of the university has successfully replaced all the seats at Julius Onah Auditorium, ensuring strict adherence to lecture time table, successful induction of 75 graduands who were stagnated for over six months prior to his assumption of office, migration from issuance of statement of results to certificates amongst others.

Urban Radio Correspondent Emeka Chibuoke reports that Prof. Okolie used the occasion to reveal that the university has concluded arrangement with experts and consultants for the university to go into mechanized agriculture; adding that the 18th Convocation ceremony expected to hold on the 26th of November would be graduating 29,240 graduands which would cover graduands from 2016 to 2021
