The gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance Apga, Professor Greg Ibe has congratulated Alex Otti Ahead of the formal declaration of the official result of the governorship election in Abia State by the Independent National Electoral Commission Inec.
Ibe, the founder and the chancellor of Gregory University, Uturu in Abia state, in a release he signed yesterday in Umuahia also applauded Otti for his consistency so far in the battle to liberate Abia State from the shackles of underdevelopment.
He also urged Inec to leave no stone unturned in their efforts to solve the current impasse by eliminating from the ongoing process of collation of results, the obvious cases of electoral fraud, and to ensure substantial compliance to statutory provisions of the electoral act, especially, as it pertains to conduct of election using BVAS machines.
Inec had in a statement earlier yesterday ordered the suspension of results collation from the Obingwa Local Government Area of the state.
