ARSENAL MISS OUT ON CLUB WORLD CUP SPOT AFTER CHAMPIONS LEAGUE EXIT

Arsenal will not play in the next Club World Cup after they were eliminated from the Champions League yesterday.

The Gunners lost 1-0 to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena, to exit the competition on a 3-2 aggregate, meaning that RB Salzburg will take the one spot left in the expanded Club World Cup.

The slot had been reserved for this year’s Champions League winners but since all four teams in the semi-finals have already qualified for the Club World Cup, it has been reallocated.
