ASUU MAINTAINS ITS STANCE ON STRIKE ACTION

The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) says it will not back down on the current industrial action, accusing the Federal Government of not keeping to its promises. 


President of the union, Emmanuel Osodeke, stated this today, more than two weeks after ASUU declared a one-month warning strike over the Federal Governments inability to honour its agreement with the body.


Osodeke stressed that the members were tired of the federal governments promises which it has failed to fulfill on several occasions and called on the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige to do the needful if he desires to see an end to the strike action.
