There are indications that the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt, the Executive Committee of the body is already considering the postponement of the Matchday 3 and 4 of the 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifiers.
The qualifiers kicked off in June with Matchday 1 and 2 fixtures decided, before the football governing body in Africa officially announced the postponement of the competition from June/July of 2023 to January/February 2024 due to the climatic conditions of Ivory Coast.
CAF Excos are also considering the shift in the qualifiers to allow the five countries that will represent the continent in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar to have adequate preparations.
Before now, the Afcon qualifiers of day 3 and 4 were scheduled for September the 5th and 6th while day 5 and 6 are billed for March 2024.

Osimhen will undergo his medical tests and then head to Dimaro to join Luciano’s Spallett’s pre-season camping.”
