The Independent National Electoral Commission INEC has issued certificates of return to the Governor-elect of Enugu State Peter Mbah, his deputy Ifeanyi Ossai and some members-elect of the Enugu State House of Assembly.
The National Commissioner of INEC for Ebonyi, Enugu, and Imo States Kenneth Ukeagu said the certificate issued by INEC is the evidence and authority that shows that they were duly elected in the poll conducted by the commission”.
While commending the governor-elect MBAH, his deputy, and all the elected State House of Assembly members, Ukeagu charged them to strive for peace and ensure they do not disappoint those who elected them.
In his speech after receiving the certificate, Mbah re-echoed his hand of fellowship to other contestants in the election, promising to spread the dividends of democracy to every citizen of Enugu State.
