The Leadership of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Enugu State has rejected the results of the Local Government Elections held in the State on the 23rd February, 2022, alleging massive electoral fraud and irregularities, which included declaration of election results where elections did not take place.

In a press release jointly signed by the Chairman of the Party Ndubuisi Enechi Onyia, and Secretary Dickson Ani after its emergency executive meeting, the Party condemned what it called the pre-written Electoral results declared by ENSIEC, led by the Chairman Mike Ajogwu, accusing them of defaulting on their statutory oaths of office.

The party condemned in totality the gravity of electoral harassment, intimidation, violence, assault and malpractices, which it said were displayed by the ruling party in the state in collaboration with the Electoral Commission and its officers, wherein lives and properties were lost.

While commending the good people of Enugu State for coming out to vote for the candidates of Apga in the various Local Government Areas in the state, they urged their teeming supporters to remain calm and resolute as the party has commenced the process of nullification of the outcome of the election results.
