FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO PARTNER WITH ENUGU STATE ON CARGO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT TERMINALS.

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria FAAN says it is committed to developing and profitably managing customer-centric airport facilities for the safe, secure, and efficient carriage of passengers and goods at world-class standards and quality.

The Managing Director of FAAN, Nasiru Yusuf Mohammed stated this yesterday when the Governor of Enugu State Peter Mbah inspected the International Wing and the Proposed Cargo Terminal of the Akanu Ibiam International Airport, Enugu.

Muhammed who explained that the protracted project for the construction of the International Wing and Cargo Terminal was due to a lack of funds said Mbah visited the airport to explore areas it would collaborate with FAAN, to make it functional.

Speaking on the occasion the Governor pointed out that the cargo terminal project was critical for the State to achieve food export, and tourism and fully harness other economic potential that abound in the state.

He announced that his administration wouldspeedily fashion out a strategic framework to fast-track the completion of the project.
