Four Police Orderlies Die in Attack on Former Governor of Imo State

Four of the former Governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim’s police orderlies were killed yesterday when fleeing militants ambushed his vehicle.

The fatal incident happened yesterday night at Oriagu in The Ehime Mbano Local Government Area where Ohakim’s convoy was ambushed.

Ohakim who escaped had his backup car attacked killing the four police officers in his convoy while he was returning after a visit with two of his children.

According to a source close to the former governor, he was the main target, but his driver was clever enough to maneuver his way and outsmart them because they were driving to obstruct him.

After the former Governor got away the gunmen burnt his backup car along with his four officers.
