The Governor of Enugu State PETER MBAHyesterday flagged off another round of the distribution of palliatives in the state, warning against the politicization of the exercise to ensure it gets to the independent and vulnerable people across the state.

MBAH, who gave the warning after the inspection of the foodstuffs, which were mostly grains, assured that the distribution of the palliatives would be carried out from time to time adding that the palliatives were a quick-fix as part of efforts of the federal government and the state to cushion the effects of the economic hardship in the country.

The head, State Emergency Management Agency SEMA, CHINASA MBAH who promised to ensure that the items are judiciously distributed to deserving individuals across the 17 local government areas, said strict measures have been adopted to avoid the diversion of the items by politicians.
