The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has denied releasing a list of candidates for the 2023 general elections.

INEC spokesman, Festus Okoye, in a statement, urged Nigerians to disregard the reports, stressing that the commission could not publish the final list with just 46 days to the commencement of the 2023 general elections.

He further revealed that some of the candidates that made the alleged “new” final list are still in court, and the matter is therefore not yet judicially decided.

He also called on political parties, litigants, and the public to be guided accordingly.
