KIDNAPPED CATHOLIC PRIEST REGAINS FREEDOM IN IMO STATE.

The Catholic priest that was kidnapped in Imo last Friday, Reverend Father Mathias Opara, has regained freedom.

The priest identified as Owu Ujo, was abducted along Ejemekwuru-Ogbaku Road in Oguta and Mbaitolu Local Government Areas of Imo State after attending the burial rituals for the father of one of his colleagues at Izombe Community in the Oguta LGA.

The priest who is in charge of the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri’s Man Of Order And Discipline was reportedly released unhurt on Sunday night.

A source close to the Archbishop of the Archdiocese said the Archbishop personally confirmed that the priest was released by his abductors on Sunday night.
