The Nigeria Football Federation’s 78th Annual General Assembly AGM and Elective Congress to steer the affairs of the nation’s supreme football will hold today in Benin City, Edo State.

The NFF yesterday morning was given the green light to hold the AGM and Elective Congress following a ruling by the Court of Appeal which ordered a stay-of-execution of an ex parte injunction secured by certain individuals two weeks ago in a bid to stop the elections.

More representatives of the world football-governing body, FIFA arrived in Benin City just before noon yesterday including FIFA’s Head of Development Programs for Africa Solomon Mudege, and Gelson Fernandes, a former Swiss international player who is FIFA’s Director for Africa.

The elections will commence after other items on the agenda for the 78th Annual General Assembly have been dealt with and winners would be sworn in immediately after the elections.
