NIGERIA MUSIC STARS LOSE ALL CATEGORIES AT THE GRAMMYS.

Nigeria music powerhouses Burna Boy and Davido failed to win any of their nominations at the Grammys which concluded this morning in Los Angeles.

Burna Boy was in contention to win his second Grammy award after he was nominated for Best African Music Performance, Best Global Music Performance, Best Global Album Performance, and Best Melodic Rap Performance while Davido was hoping to win his first Grammy award after he was nominated for the Best African Music Performance, Best Global Music Performance, and Best Global Album Performance.

They lost the Best African Music Performance category to South African young singer Tyla with Water, Best Global Music Performance to Pashto by Bèla Fleck, Edgar Meyer & Zakir Hussain Featuring Rakesh Chaurasia, and Best Global Album to Shakti’s The Moment, and Best Melodic Rap Performance to Lil Durk’s All My Life feat J Cole.

Billie Eilish’s Barbie film soundtrack, What Was I Made For? won Song Of The Year and Best Song Written For Visual Media while other winners were Victoria Monet, SZA, Miley Cyrus, and Taylor Swift, who used her speech to announce a new album.
