PRESIDENT TINUBU VOWS TO WORK TRANSPARENTLY WITH THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY.

President Bola Tinubu has committed to a transparent working relationship with the 10th National Assembly under the leadership of the new President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio and Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas.

Tinubu who pledged while congratulating the freshly elected president of the Senate and speaker in a personal statement yesterday said they have all been called upon and accepted the responsibility to diligently and faithfully serve their fatherland with the oath they took and it is time to get on and move swiftly with the business of governance in the service of Nigeria.

He said as the President he is prepared to transparently work with the National Assembly, while Nigerians expect the Senators and members to make laws and carry out oversight duties that would enhance the performance of the government to achieve successful outcomes including improving their quality of life.

He stated further that in the course of their work together, disagreements may occur but it won’t be out of malice, ill-will, and the quest to diminish the institution of the National Assembly or any individual member.
