An 80th-minute strike from mercurial attacking midfielder Chidiebere Nwobodo ensured that the chase for a seventh championship triumph of the Federation Cup was kept alive by Rangers International F.C after a dominant display over Doma United F.C in the quarter-final at the Akure Township Stadium.

The Abdul Maikaba tutored side took command of the match from the blast of the referee’s whistle signalling the start of hostilities with the trio of Austin Onyemaechi, Shedrack Asiegbu, and Chidiebere Nwobodo showing dominance in the middle of the pack.

The Flying Antelopes will now take on the Tin City side, Plateau United at the Otumba Dipo Dina Stadium Ijebu-Ode on Wednesday 1 June by 4 pm for a place in the final after they defeated Kwara United 1-0.
