The Ado Local Government Executive Council has reacted to the report that it aided Fulani herdsmen in last Friday tragic murder of persons and destruction of properties in Eboh, Aha-Amufu Community of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of Enugu State.

The Council expressed shock over the reports in some media houses that the people of Benue State, particularly from Ado Local Government, collaborated with the suspected herdsmen or gunmen who attacked the community.

In a statement signed by the Executive Chairman of the Ado Council, James Oche said the people of Ado Local Government who themselves are subject of aggression and criminality from killer herdsmen, have no reason to and could not have collaborated with gunmen or herdsmen to launch an attack on the good people of Enugu State.

Oche while sympathizing with the families and victims of the dastardly act, urged its people to remain peaceful and law abiding and should always cooperate with government on issues bothering their welfare, especially as regards to security.
