ANGELIQUE KIDJO PENS TRIBUTE TO BURNA BOY AFTER MAKING LIST OF 100 MOST INFLUENTIAL PEOPLE OF 2024

Multi-Grammy-winning singer,  ANGELIQUE KIDJO has penned a tribute to Nigerian Afro-fusion star, BURNA BOY, who was recognisedby Time Magazine as one of the top 100 most influential people of 2024.

 In her tribute, the legendary singer described Burna Boy as a history-making artist who young people from Africa look up to, commending him for finding inspiration in African folk music and for following the footsteps of Nigerian Afrobeatoriginator, FELA KUTI.

BURNA BOY is the only African musician on Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2024 list.

Recall that Burna Boy in his Grammy-nominated 2019 album ‘AFRICAN GIANT’, featured Angelique Kidjo in the single ‘Different’ alongside Damian Marley.
