A former State Director of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, in Enugu state, Augustine Okolie, says issues of violence during elections stems from the fact that persons involved are eager to get into power by all means.

Okolie who laid this emphasis yesterday when he featured on Urban Radio political programme, The Parliament, noted that there laws put in place to checkmate electoral violence,  but the severity in the implementation of these laws is lacking.

The former NOA state Director called on the government to create a commission that will work with the existing laws and implement them accordingly to tackle electoral violence in the country.

Friday from Enugu, who called during the programme, advised Nigerians who expect a change in things that are not working effectively in the country, to come out and cast their votes in next year’s polls.
